Due the response of the South Coast in the past Tsunami, Puente received a grant from Silicon Valley Community Foundation to work with the South Coast community to become more prepare in case of an disaster or emergency.
As part of the efforts for this grant, last week four members of Puente Staff concluded their Red Cross training to be Certified Instructor. All instructors are bilingual.
During the Fall, Puente will carry several CPR/AED and First Aid trainings in English and Spanish.
Dates and locations will be posted soon but the training will aim residents of the different ranches, people providing childcare and other key people in the community who will likely join a response team in case of a disaster or emergency.
