Puente has launched its Green Jobs Corps, along with the California Green Jobs Corps, San Mateo County Workforce Investment Board, and the Resource Conservation District.
The Green Jobs Corps project has three components:
- After school education program for youth ages 16-24, in collaboration with the Resource Conservation District. Youth will learn hands-on green jobs skills and receive real-world career training.
- In school Environmental Field Studies course at Pescadero High School for fall 2010 semester.
- Green career day at Pescadero High School.
