Puente released its 2011 Annual Report earlier this month. The report highlights Puente’s accomplishments in 2011 and includes articles on Puente’s work to fight substance abuse, promote local farmers and bring healthy food to all South Coast residents, successful citizenship and disaster preparedness initiatives and more. Importantly, the report thanks the many Puente volunteers, donors and supporters that make its work possible.

Sign up now for Puente’s popular Day Camp for children aged 5 to 11, in partnership with YMCA SF Camp Jones Gulch. Kids enjoy all kinds of recreational activities like swimming, hiking and canoeing, from Monday-Thursday in 6 sessions starting July 2. Transportation available. Each session costs $25. Puente’s Pescadero Grown! Farmers’ Market held its La Honda on debut on Tuesday. Fudge, cheese, beef, cheese, pork, vegetables and flowers, along with the musical stylings of Lisa Kelly, were the stars of the market which is open every Tuesday from 3-7 PM at 8875 La Honda Road (next to the fire station).
