Puente’s Travel Club

The Travel Club is an activity to learn about other countries’ history, customs and food. This summer, youth will be able to join presentations of Italy, Greece and Bangladesh.

Rossana Petralia volunteered to help with the Italian Session focusing on the food of her home region Sicily. Rossana leaded the group to cook Pasta alla Norma and Salad.

Next week, David LeCount will present Greece and the group will go to  try Greek Food to a restaurant.

Three Puente Youth Staff are helping in Math Camp

Nick Curran, Ricardo Mendez and Eduardo Rogel are part of Puente’s Summer Youth Employment Program. This summer their assignment has been to support the Math Camp organized by the La Honda-Pescadero Unified School District.

During four weeks, students, youth tutors and teachers will be meeting at the Pescadero Community Church for Math Summer School.

 

Puente Youth is helping the Kick-Off to Kinder Program

The La Honda-Pescadero Unified School District is currently running its Kick-Off to Kinder Program. Two Puente Youth Staff have been assigned to support this program.
