Community Health
Puente works with a trauma-informed care approach to reduce health disparities in Pescadero, La Honda, Loma Mar and San Gregorio through coordination of a medical clinic once a week in conjunction with the San Mateo County Health System, a dental clinic for farmworkers in partnership with Sonrisas, transportation to access medical services, CalFresh enrollments, fitness classes such as Zumba, farmers market tokens, vaccine clinics clinics, dental financial assistance, workplace site visits (farms and local businesses), workshops on health related topics such as stress management, blood pressure, diabetes, dental and more.
