Second Annual Puente 5k/10k Fun Run/Walk
Join us for our second annual 5k and first ever 10k Fun Run and walk. The run/walk kicks off with a Zumba warm up outside Puente’s office (620 North St. in Pescadero). Delicious snacks and drinks will be waiting after the run/walk. A portion of proceeds benefits Puente and its mission to promote health and wellness throughout the South Coast. Screening for Diabetes and High Cholesterol
Puente will offer a free fasting cholesterol lipid panel, blood pressure and BMI screening.
The cholesterol lipid panel includes total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and blood sugar. A 12-hour fast (no food, only water) is required. Participants must be age 18 or older. Learn about the world of lipids on Tuesday, July 22 at 7:00 PM. Then fast on Saturday night, July 26, and learn your results on Sunday morning, July 27. For more information, or email Molly Wolfes.
Pescadero Grown! Farmers’ Market every Thursday
Join Puente and all your neighbors at the Pescadero Grown! Certified Community Farmers’ Market in Pescadero every Thursday this summer from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Live music, kids’ activities, free bike repair, and the freshest hyperlocal produce in the region await you. Come sample the season’s delights! 251 Stage Road (Next to Pescadero Country Store).
