The South Coast community says farewell to Public Health Nurse, Julia Wilson. 

Puente staff and South Coast friends say farewell to Julia Wilson

 Julia recently retired from the San Mateo County Department of Health after nearly 30 years of service. Julia was a calm and steady presence for countless number of South Coast residents who needed her help with navigating the often complex County health systems. A tireless advocate, Julia was never daunted by coastal flooding, wet roads or complicated health issues. Julia helped create the 21st Century Puente and we look forward to her work with us as a volunteer.

Financial aid workshop provides forum for big dreams

Puente youth staff visits Stanford University

Parents attend Puente's Life After High School

More than 40 high school and college aged students attended Puente’s  Financial Aid Workshop presented by staff from Stanford University. The presentation followed a Puente youth trip to Stanford and Santa Clara Universities. The workshop provided a place for parents and students to learn about college financial aid as well as provided a forum for parents and students to reflect on their hopes and dreams for their future.
