I do think these reminders helped the numbers stay low on the South Coast, says Ophelie Vico, Puentes Community Health Director. To date, the region never had a second wavepositive cases still number fewer than 100, nearly two years later. Testing started in May of 2020. Puente has ongoing monthly community testing in partnership with the La Honda-Pescadero Unified School District and San Mateo County.
