b'FRIENDS OF PUENTEThank you for your support this past year. Together, we have successfully promoted and advocated for equitable access to education, health, and economic security for those who live and work in Pescadero, La Honda, Loma Mar and San Gregorio and we have accomplished important milestones for our organization including releasing our Strategic Plan 2021-2025. We are very excited to share this annual report with you. We hope that as you read it, you notice your contributions to Puente, whether they be time, money, or skills, to be a worthwhile and lasting investment in social justice.Among the many activities of the past year, we are especially proud of:Puentes work advocating for and coordinating vaccine clinics on the South Coast. As a result, more than 90% of agriculture workers in our region are fully vaccinated. And, as we print this report, we are coordinating booster clinics and vaccines for children 5-11 years of age.The financial support provided to local businesses and organizations impacted by the CZU Complex Lighting fires. That initiative distributed more than $700,000 in aid to help offset losses, help rebuild and increase fire resilience. The funds were distributed to provide financial assistance to those impacted by the pandemic, increasing their economic security in times of uncertainty. The creative solutions to continue providing mental health over telehealth platforms during a time when demand for those services increased dramatically.Adapting educational and leadership programming for local youth ages 14-21, particularly during the summer. These programs contributed to youths being able to connect with one another during workshops, while gaining job skills and for many, earning their first paychecks. All of this and much more could not have been achieved without the strength of our community members, the generous support from funders, the commitment from the Puente team and courageous organizations who help continue to be the Bridge to Independence for people in our South Coast region. With much gratitude,Rita Mancera Mark VelliganExecutive Director President of the Board of Directors2'
